Testing the new toy

So on recommendation of the WordPress team, I’m trying out Windows Live Writer. So far it’s pretty standard, but I like a few of the little things – quick links to the blog stats, friend surfer, that sort of thing. Formatting is the big thing, because the WYSIWYG editor in WP.com is…a little lacking in parts, for me at least. Plus there’s also a few plugins you can get that make certain jobs easier. My posts are generally pretty vanilla so I don’t use most of them (I’m fairly certain nobody gives a damn what I’m listening to, and I don’t give a damn what they’re listening to), but there’s a decent variety. If you’re not totally “zomg M$ sux” and not using any other offline blogging tool, it might be worth a go.
