Ever heard of the Creation Museum in Kentucky, USA? If not, I’ll summarise: it’s a testament to the ability of mankind to completely delude itself in the face of overwhelming reason. For those of us not wanting to give US$20 to these nutbars (plus, you know, the A$2000 airfare) but want to point and laugh anyway, someone has been kind enough to go and collect some choice photographs to enlighten the heathens (even Christians who dare to think that faith and science might be compatible). Be entertained, be afraid, be thankful it’s in the US.
Who really blew up the Death Star?
May 19, 2007Fantastic parody of the September 11 conspiracy theories. Impeach Vader!
One more thing
March 3, 2007And because I can’t go without serving up the finest pointless time-wasting the internet has to offer, here’s a recipe for beatboxing. I never was a good cook…
The Need for Speed
February 19, 2007Lame Top Gun references notwithstanding, the aviation geek in me absolutely adores this R/C Tomcat and wants one badly.
You’ve come a long way, baby.
December 19, 2006The evolution of gaming. (I apologise for posting nothing but links lately, things just aren’t particularly interesting right now. I’ll have something soon.)
The Answer
December 8, 2006Well, maybe not the definitive answer, but certainly a long one. The Engineer Poet has a many-thousand-word post on the problems surrounding renewable energy and the solutions. As with previous entries, it’s US-centric, but it provides a good base for judging what the best way forward is from here. It involves a lot of reading and a lot of numbers, though, so put aside a few minutes to read through it if you’re interested.
I heart Internet
December 7, 2006The phenomenon sweeping the globe! Ah, for the days before the internet was composed entirely of porn and Chuck Norris jokes…
Faithless
November 4, 2006Short notice and I’m probably the only person who’s interested, but Faithless have their entire new album on their MySpace page for the next couple of days. It’s sounding pretty awesome.
